Wow Your Parents on Valentine’s DAY

Valentine-s-Day-_128

Think outside of the box.  TIPS for TEENS.

By Tarran Carter

Remember when you were in grade-school and the teacher encouraged you to make a valentine’s card. Even if you  thought you couldn’t draw or paint, it was exciting that your parents loved the thought of you making them a card.  Well, it’s never too late to get creative and do something from the heart again

  • Get a brown paper bag and line it with red tissue paper. fill it with their favorite candy.
  • Write them a poem and place it on their bed that morning or place it on the kitchen table.
  • Get a picture of your mom (picture of her when she was pregnant with you if possible).  Glue it to a handmade card and tell her how she has blessed your life.
  • If mom or dad is a coffee drinker and they have a coffee maker, ask them to set it up the night before Valentine’s Day. That morning make the coffee and bring to them with a card and rose before you leave for school, or before they get up for the day.
  • Fill a jar with valentine candy kisses and 36 small notes. fold each notes and place a ribbon each. Each day they can pull a note that says why you love and appreciate them.
  • Send a message to parent’s phone during the day, telling them that you love them. Play their favorite song.
  • Text them during the day and send a picture of how you love and appreciate them.
  • Give them an old DVD of their favorite movie, tie a red ribbon around it and tell them to relax and enjoy the day.

A WOW moment, brings  joy and happiness– mom and dad will remember it for a long time.
